Dr Gunjan Deshpande

Biography

Dr Gunjan Deshpande completed training in ophthalmology during her residency at Shri Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna. Her keen interest in glaucoma, enabled her to clear the All India Collegium of Ophthalmology fellowship examination in 2013. She was bestowed with the fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology in 2017. She was also conferred upon membership to the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2020. She is the ‘Best Private Practitioner’ and ‘Best Publication’ awardee at MOSCON 2017 and 2019. 

She has been extensively trained in cataract (phaco-refractive) surgery, glaucoma (paediatric and adult), management of failed trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage devices and shunts, ocular surface disease and amniotic membrane transplant.

She also holds a special interest in glaucoma imaging and angle-based glaucoma surgery. She is a reviewer for the British Medical Journal-Case Reports, European Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice and Biomed Research International Journal. She has to her credit papers in indexed and non indexed journals. She has been invited as a guest speaker at national and state level conferences. Dr Gunjan caters to and has operated upon foreign nationals as well.

She pursues her private practice in the heart of Nagpur at Max Vision, Centre for Glaucoma and Advanced Eyecare.
